4EM English Major

This is us, 4EM—fourth-year college students majoring in English—along with our supervising teacher, Dr. Lacuata. As English majors, we have spent countless hours studying literature, perfecting our writing skills, and exploring the depths of language. Dr. Lacuata has been an essential part of our academic journey, offering guidance, wisdom, and encouragement as we navigate through our final year. Under their supervision, we've learned not only the intricacies of the English language but also how to think critically, express ourselves effectively, and challenge the boundaries of our creativity. Our time together has been filled with insightful lessons, inspiring discussions, and a sense of camaraderie that will stay with us long after graduation. As a class and with the mentorship of Dr. Lacuata, we are prepared to take the next step in our careers and make an impact in the world of education, literature, and beyond.

College Student

This is me during my college life at UST, where I am currently navigating my academic journey and personal growth. As a student, I’m constantly learning, facing challenges, and discovering new opportunities. My time at UST has been a period of exploration, where I am refining my skills, expanding my knowledge, and building meaningful connections with peers and professors. Each day brings new lessons, both inside and outside the classroom, that are shaping my future. Though I’m not an alumni yet, the experiences I’m gaining are already leaving a lasting impact, and I’m excited for what lies ahead in my college life.

Pre-Service Teacher

This is me as a pre-service teacher, learning and growing as I prepare to become a teacher. During this time, I am gaining real experience in the classroom, applying what I’ve learned in my studies. Each lesson I teach, and every student I meet helps me improve and understand what it means to be an educator. The journey can be challenging, but it is also very rewarding. I am discovering my own teaching style and learning how important a teacher’s role is in shaping students’ lives. Being a pre-service teacher is a time of learning and growth, and I am excited to continue on this path.

Thomasian

This is me, as a Thomasian, enjoying the vibrant activities that make student life at UST so special. Being part of this community means participating in a wide range of events, from academic activities to cultural celebrations, sports, and more. Each experience has been an opportunity to connect with fellow students, learn new things, and have fun along the way. As a Thomasian, I am proud to be part of a tradition of excellence where I can grow not only academically but also personally. These activities have helped me create lasting memories, build friendships, and make the most of my college life.
