Money

Indonesia's currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), symbolized as "Rp." Banknotes come in various denominations, often featuring prominent national figures, historical landmarks, and cultural icons. Coins are also used, though they hold lower values. The Rupiah is essential to daily life, reflecting Indonesia’s cultural heritage through its design.

Rupiah

The cost of living in Indonesia is surprisingly lower than in the Philippines, which was something that really stood out to me during my time there. I was amazed by how affordable everything seemed, especially when I first bought food at a convenience store. Simple items like snacks, drinks, and meals were much cheaper compared to what I was used to back home. This made everyday expenses much easier to manage, and I was able to enjoy a wide variety of food without worrying about high costs. In general, the prices for groceries, public transportation, and even dining out were very budget-friendly. It was refreshing to see that I could get good-quality food and goods at such reasonable prices, which allowed me to experience more of the local culture and lifestyle without breaking the bank. Overall, the lower cost of living in Indonesia made my stay more enjoyable and allowed me to explore and immerse myself in the country without financial stress.
