Samarinda, Indonesia, was an experience that truly felt like home. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the people, the culture, and the energy of the place. As a student or teacher coming here, it’s more than just an exchange – it’s a chance to grow, learn, and connect in ways I never imagined. The local community is so kind, and I quickly found that I was not just a visitor, but someone who was genuinely part of the experience. The classrooms were full of curiosity, with both students and teachers excited to share ideas and learn from each other. It felt like we were all working together to dream big and create a better future.

Living and learning in Samarinda opened my eyes to a new world. It’s a place where you can step outside of your comfort zone and really see how education can bring people together, no matter where they come from. The city’s rich culture and traditions added so much depth to my experience. I found myself inspired by the local students, who were always eager to learn and share their stories. For future delegates, this exchange is an incredible chance to not only grow as a student or teacher but to discover new perspectives and make lasting connections with people from all over the world. Every day in Samarinda felt like a new opportunity to learn something new and push myself further.

The practicum in Samarinda met most of my expectations and provided valuable learning opportunities. Its purpose was to enhance both my teaching and personal growth, and it achieved this by allowing me to immerse myself in a new cultural and educational setting. The procedures were well organized, with clear guidelines for how to interact with local students and teachers. I had the chance to teach, observe, and engage in discussions, which helped me refine my skills and understand diverse teaching methods. The outcomes of the practicum were highly positive, as I gained a deeper understanding of different educational systems, developed new techniques, and built meaningful connections with people from various backgrounds.

However, the practicum did come with its own set of challenges. Language barriers and differences in teaching styles required adaptability and patience, but they ultimately helped me grow both professionally and personally. Overall, my impression of the practicum was extremely positive – it was an eye-opening experience that exceeded my expectations in many ways. Fo
